Man injured in Ashford nightclub bottle attack

A young man from Ashford was taken to hospital after being attacked with what is believed to be a half-broken bottle at a nightclub.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a fight broke out in Ashford’s Liquid and Envy club which resulted in a 20-year-old needing hospital treatment on Wednesday, December 13.

He was taken to the William Harvey Hospital and needed stitches for wounds to his head and chest.

Police believe they may have been caused by a bottle.

When officers arrived at the club just after 2am, a 21-year-old man from the town was arrested on suspicion of assault.

He has been released on bail until January 27 pending further investigations.
