A man made off with thousands of pounds from a Kent hospital after threatening a member of staff with a knife.

The man claimed to be an aerial engineer and was let into the office.

He then produced a knife and demanded money from the safe.

The woman, who was unhurt in the incident, handed over around £6,000 and the man fled the scene.

The suspect is described as being white, aged between 23 and 28-years-old, of medium build and around 5ft 8in tall.

He had black, untidy, collar-length hair and wore a padded jacket, blue jeans, gloves and black shoes.
