Man suffers flash-burns on Sheppey

A man aged 48 suffered electrical flash-burns to his face, neck and hands in an accident on Wednesday lunchtime.

Detail of what happened are limited but a colleague was driving him to hospital when his condition became worse.

Am ambulance spokesman said: "He flagged down a passing ambulance car in Main Road, Queenborough.

"An ambulance was called from the nearby ambulance station which took him to Medway Maritime Hospital.

"He was suffering from superficial face and neck burns and had more serious burn injuries to his hand."
