Dover boss Martin Hayes is hoping two or three more deals could be completed in the next few days following the signing of goalkeeper Ross Kitteridge.

Hayes (pictured) moved for Kitteridge in his efforts to replace Ross Flitney but has told the 21-year-old former Reading and Aldershot man that he will have to fight for his place with Lee Hook at Crabble

Kitteridge arrives from Hayes’ former club Bishop’s Stortford but didn’t play under him at the Hertfordshire club, having started his career with Arsenal, spending eight years at the Gunners’ academy.

Hayes said: "Ross did well against us last season but I only became aware he was available in the last couple of weeks. I made contact with him and he signed.

"I have been speaking to three or four others but can’t be waiting on people coming back to me.

"Ross is a young keeper, with a good pedigree, is ambitious and wants to get back playing full-time.

Meanwhile, Hayes hopes more new signings are in the pipeline.

He said: "I am talking to another centre-half and a midfielder, as well as another forward and I hope two or three more signings could happen in the next week to 10 days."
