Karl Dent’s solitary strike gave Sittingbourne a 1-0 victory at Whitstable in the Ryman League Division 1 South Kent derby on Tuesday night.

Dent scored midway through the second half during a lacklustre game played on a heavy pitch.

Ramsgate threw away a two-goal lead as they were held to a 2-2 draw against Whyteleafe.

Gary Mickelborough put the Rams ahead in the 10th minute and Gary Lockyer doubled their advantage in the 24th.

They had chances to increase their advantage further, before Leafe fought back after the break.

Darren Watson pulled a goal back in the 59 minute and Leon McDowell equalised with four minutes to go.
