Motorcyclist killed in Snodland crash named

A motorcyclist killed after a crash with a lorry on the A228 at Snodland has been named.

Dr Mark Richard Williams, 48, of Oak Road, Strood, died on Friday after the accident at around 11.40am.

A pillion passenger was taken to Kings College Hospital in London by air ambulance, where her injuries were initially said to life-threatening. She is now believed to have been released from hospital. The driver of the lorry was unharmed.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact the Kent Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538.

The naming comes as an inquest was opened and adjourned today.
