Teenager arrested in Kent on suspicion of murder after London stabbing

A 19-year-old has been arrested in Kent after a fatal stabbing.

The teenager was taken into custody on suspicion of murder yesterday.

It comes after Rohan Trotman, 26, was killed on Sunday, June 25, in Peckham, London.

Police were called at 9.20pm to reports of a stabbing in Nunhead Green, near to the junction with Gordon Road.

Rohan had suffered stab wounds and had been taken to hospital by a member of the public.

Despite the efforts of medical staff, he died in hospital at 9.30am the following day.

His next of kin are being supported by specially trained officers.

Detective Chief Inspector Laurence Smith, from the Met Police, said: "Rohan's family and friends have been left devastated by his death. I know there are people in the community who have information about the circumstances in which he suffered the fatal stab wounds.

"If they have not already done so, I would urge them to contact police. I also continue to appeal to anyone who was in the area who saw any of this incident to get in touch. You may have information that could prove vital to this investigation.”
