Paralympics roadshow at a town near you

Sorry, this video asset has been removed.

Fancy testing yourself against the
best Paralympians?

You could try your hand at a host of different sports soon to be
featured in the Paralympic games in London.

A travelling roadshow is spending two weeks touring the county,
giving sports fans a taste of things to come.

Three or four different paralympic sports will be available for
visitors to try out at each venue.

Mike Bishop, from Kent Sport at Kent County Council, said: “It’s
also about getting people to appreciate that paralympic athletes
work just as hard, they train just as hard, the diet, the lifestyle
is just the same as the Olympic athletes.

"It’s no less, it might be different but it’s the same level of
intensity.”

The Paralympics start in less than a fortnight - with the road
cycling event at Brands Hatch taking place from September 5 to
8.
