Part buy scheme key for first time buyers

The difficult task of taking the first step onto the property ladder is being made easier by charitable housing association Moat.

The organisation uses government funding to build homes for people who cannot afford a new home by offering them a part buy part rent shared ownership scheme.

Potential buyers can purchase as little as a 25 per cent share in a home on one of Moat’s new developments across Kent.

Property’s are available for as little as £18.750.

Moat is hosting the HomeBuy Show on Saturday, February 5 at Mariner House in Dartford.

It brings together a range of experts to speak to first time buyers about what is the best way for them to own their own home.

Moat’s head of sales and marketing Stephen Walker said: "This event is the ideal event for any first time buyer on incomes of £12,000 to £60,000.

"We’re going to help them make the most informed choice they can by offering a wide range of mortgage advisors, solicitors, housing developers and shared ownership providers.

"We even have interior designers attending."
