KENT Police are appealing for information following a fatal collision on the M2.

The driver of a Ford Focus, believed to be from the Medway area, died after his car was involved in a collision with a large goods vehicle.

The incident occurred at around 11pm on Thursday, April 13, on the London-bound carriageway between between Sittingbourne and Faversham (junctions 5 and 6). The victim has not yet been formally identified.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the Ford Focus travelling on the M2 prior to the tragedy, is asked to contact Kent Police's serious collision investigation unit on 01622 798538.
