Police appeal after street stabbing

DETECTIVES have appealed for information after a 41-year-old man was stabbed in the street.

The victim suffered a stomach wound in the incident in Church Street, Chatham, and was taken to Gillingham's Medway Maritime Hospital.

His injury is not thought to be life-threatening. He has not been named.

The incident happened between 2.20pm and 2.30pm last Thursday.

Det Sgt Terry Easterby said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the assault and has information they feel may help us with this investigation.”
