Police appeal to find missing Sittingbourne man

By Hayley Robinson

Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a vulnerable missing man from Sittingbourne.

Matthew Paul Green, 26, of Rock Road, Sittingbourne, was last seen leaving home on Thursday, April 8 at 8pm.

He told his family he was going away for the weekend to visit friends in Mile End in London but when he didn’t return home after the weekend, his disappearance was reported to police.

Matthew is believed to have taken his passport, driving licence and a quantity of money with him.

He’s described as being white, having a shaved head, brown eyes and is of slim build. He has two tattoos on his upper arm.

A Facebook group called "MATTHEW GREEN - Sittingbourne - Missing Since 9th April - Any one SEEN Him?" has been set up by Matthew's friends and family in a bid to find out any information about his whereabouts.

Anyone with information should contact police in Maidstone on 01622 604 167 or Missing People on 0500 700 700.
