Police name father killed in crash

A YOUNG father of two children has been named by police as the victim of an horrific motorcycle accident just days before Christmas.

Mark Bentley, 33, of Beechen Bank Road, Walderslade, Chatham, died from multiple injuries when his Triumph bike collided with a silver Astra car on the A20 at Orpington, on Wednesday, December 20, at about 7.30am.

Mr Bentley, who worked as an IT consultant, was declared dead at the scene. The car driver suffered minor injuries.

Mr Bentley's widow and two children are understood to have been staying with his parents at their home in Strood during the Christmas period.

Police have revealed Mr Bentley was wearing a distinctive dark-coloured motorcycle helmet with Union Jacks on the side, on the day of the tragedy.
