Probe after body is found in flat

KENT Police have launched an investigation after the body of a man was discovered in a flat.

Officers were called to the property in Fort Pitt Street, Chatham, shortly before 8.20am on Monday.

The body has not yet been identified but police said today they were treating the death as non-suspicious.

The area was cordoned off on Monday to allow a forensic team to carry out an inspection.
