Puppy stolen by burglars

POLICE have issued an appeal that a Staffordshire bull terrier has been stolen by burglars who entered a house while the the owner was out.

The six-month-old puppy, called Honey, was taken from the property in Castle Road, Chatham, some time on Thursday, February 10.

The homeowner had gone out at about 3pm and when she returned at 8pm she found her front door was slightly ajar.

A spokesman for Medway Police said: "Furniture and other items in the house had been moved and an untidy search had been carried out. The homeowner had two pet dogs, Forest and Honey. Forest was running around in the home when she got back, but Honey was nowhere to be seen."

The puppy had been wearing a collar and muzzle but these had been left on the living room floor and the only other item taken was a mobile phone.

Anyone who may have information is asked to contact Medway Police on 01634 884252 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
