A couple whose daughter was killed on live rails hope a harrowing video will prevent further deaths.

The family of 17-year-old Jade Kenyon bravely helped produce a hard-hitting nine-minute video.

It comes two years after teenager Jade was killed on the Medway Valley railway line at Halling, while trying to take a shortcut.

On thursday, the DVD of her story was launched at the Malling School, East Malling.

Her mother Rachel Farrington, from Snodland, thinks better education is the key. She said: "Jade wasn't the sort of person to take risks, she was a normal teenager and teenagers do silly things because they think they're immortal.

"If she had known that live rail was on the outside as well perhaps she would never have walked down there."
