Remembering 'sheer terror' of D-Day campaign

SIXTY years ago a vast number of troops from Kent and other parts of the South East took part in the historic D-Day landings which changed the course of the Second World War and helped bring freedom.

The operation was seen as vital in defeating the Nazis and protecting Western Europe from communist tyrany.
