Meet Tango, the runaway puppy who spent hours impaled on railings before being cut free.

Firefighters from Strood and two Medway vets worked together to free Tango, on the right of the photograph with her mother, Amber, from her horrific ordeal.

The puppy had run away from her owners' home in Shorne, near Rochester, late on Thursday night.

Nigel Donovan and partner Karen combed nearby streets and country lanes searching for their pet but were shocked to discover her hanging from a steel railing a mile away in Higham.
