Hot on the heels of a packed house for Lostprophets, the Winter Gardens has announced a gig by Scouting for Girls in May.

The piano-led indie trio will be bringing their catchy songs of lost youth and broken hearts to the Margate venue on Tuesday May 18, and tickets went os sale this week.

Scouting For Girls exploded onto the scene in 2008 with their No.1 triple platinum album. They spawned the single of the summer; She's So Lovely, were nominated for Best New Act at the MTV Awards and also racked up three BRIT Award nominations.

The show is the latest high-profile act to be booked at the Winter Gardens, and follows packed houses for JLS, Stereophonics and Kasabian.

Tickets are £22.50, phone the box office on 01843 292795 for more information.
