Securicor guard robbed at filling station

A MAN wearing a hoodie this afternoon robbed a Securicor guard at a petrol station.

The robber, who was black, pushed the guard over and made off with a security box in a waiting vehicle at the Esso garage in Links Way, Beckenham, at about 12.25pm. No weapons were seen.

Shortly afterwards the security box was found in Scotts Lane, Shortlands. A high-pitched alarm was sounding and red smoke was seen emitting from the box.

olice have not yet confirmed how much money might have been taken.
