Street muggers steal mobile phones

TWO people were searched and robbed by a group of five youths, police have said.

Officers are appealing for witnesses after the 15-year-old student and his 22-year-old friend were robbed in Victoria Street, Gillingham, shortly before midnight on June 16.

Police have only just released information about the attack.

The pair were walking along Victoria Street when they were stopped by the group of people thought to be aged between 17 and 18.

The robbers, who had come from the direction of the High Street, pushed the victims up against a wall, searched the pair and took their mobile phones.
