Tailbacks after trucks collide on M26

A MOTORWAY crash involving two lorries caused hour-long tailbacks for motorists.

One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries after the crash at junction 2a of the M26 at Wrotham, shortly after 8am on Wednesday.

Police closed the road between junctions 2a and 3a to allow emergency services to attend and supervise the removal of beer barrels from one of the lorries.

The barrels were lifted from one lorry to another and the road was not reopened until just after 2pm.
