A 19-year-old man whose body was discovered in Leybourne Lakes died from drowning, a post mortem has revealed.

The body of Brian Anderson, of St Benedict Road, Snodland, was found last Friday. Floral tributes were laid close to the spot by family and friends.

Tributes to Mr Anderson were also left on the Kent Messenger Group's websites. Danny from Snodland described him as “a great soul” while Steve and Becca, also from Snodland, wrote: “We will all miss him lots”.

Jacqueline, from Larkfield, wrote: “Such a shame to die so young,” while Lizzie, from Snodland, added: “May he rest in peace – he will be missed by loads of people.”

An inquest into Mr Anderson's death has been opened and adjourned. Police say they are not treating his death as suspicious.
