Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager suffered serious injuries in an apparent attack near Sheerness station.

The 16-year-old boy is being treated in hospital following the assault, which happened between 6pm and 10pm yesterday.

Police have cordoned off the car park next to the train station.

Inquiries are on-going and anyone who saw anything suspicious is asked to contact police urgently on 01795 419161 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
