Thousands of DVDs seized at boot sale

Dozens of officers from Kent Police, trading standards and the UK Border Agency have swooped on a car boot sale in the county, making several arrests.

They arrested 17 Chinese people in Swanley on suspicion of immigration offences and selling counterfeit goods.

Fourteen people have now been released on bail pending further inquiries, and proceedings have started to remove them from the UK.

The other three are still in custody.

Almost 40 officers were involved in the operation at the weekend - where they seized 8,000 DVDs.
