Traders needed to fund festive lights

TRADERS are being asked to come up with cash to fund festive lights in one Kent town.

If Sidcup High Street is going to be lit up at Christmas, the question being asked by Sidcup Town Partnership is - who is going to pay for it?

The partnership says it is willing to donate a third of the money but the traders are going to have to find the rest of the £1,500 needed.

Cllr June Slaughter said: "Here we have a perfect opportunity to engage with the traders and work together on this."
