RED and white roses have been left outside a motorcycle shop where a man murdered on a motorway is believed to have worked.

The biker gunned down on the M40 on Sunday has been named as Gerard Michael Tobin, 35, of Mottingham Road, Mottingham, a Canadian who had lived in south London for 10 years.

He reportedly worked as a mechanic at Warr's Harley-Davidson dealership in Mottingham Road. Police have not yet confirmed his identity.

A floral tribute left at the entrance to the shop, which remains closed, read: "To Jay, May Gods Angels take care of you."

Another card read: "Jay, our thoughts are with you. God bless."

Mr Tobin was killed by a single shot to the head, thought to have been fired with a hand gun from a passing car.

He is believed to have been returning home from the Bulldog Bash biker event in Warwickshire when he was killed.

Anyone with any information should call Warwickshire Police on 01926 415930 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
