Two arrested after car crash injures Herne Bay girl

Emergency services were called to Beltinge Road in the early hours of Monday morning after a car hit a garden wall.

A 16-year-old female passenger from Herne Bay received serious facial injuries and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate.

She has since been arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without consent.

The driver, a 23-year-old man from Herne Bay, was arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without consent, having no insurance and driving without a licence.

The pair have been bailed to appear on Wednesday, February 24.
