Two cut free after bus crash

Two men were cut from their vehicles after a bus and car crashed.

The collision, involving a Park and Ride bus and a black Volkswagen Passat, happened at the junction of King Street and Wat Tyler Way in Maidstone at around 3.15pm.

Fire officers were at the scene for around 35 minutes and cut two men from their vehicles and put out a fire in the car.

It is believed the driver of the Passat suffered minor injuries.

The top of King Street remained closed for a couple of hours.

Diversions led to heavy traffic around the town centre.
