Two Germans have been jailed for being in possession of al Qaeda bomb-making propaganda when they arrived at the port of Dover.

Christian Emde, 28, and Robert Baum, 24, were arrested in July.

They pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey to having material which could be useful to someone preparing an act of terror.

Emde has been jailed for a total of 16 months and Baum for a year.

They were arrested at the port by officers from the South East Counter Terrorism Unit on July 15 last year.

Both men will be automatically deported.
