Lucky kmfm listener from Dover starts school summer holidays with £1,000 Friday win

A kmfm listener has started their weekend and the school summer holidays by winning £1,000.

The Kent radio station's £1,000 Friday competition invites listeners to enter via text or online from Thursday at 6pm.

A winner is then picked at random 24 hours later.

Following thousands of entries, Drivetime presenter Rob Wills made the call to Terry Cleaver from Dover.

He entered on Thursday evening just before going to bed.

Terry plans to spend the money on a holiday to Malta with his wife Emma.

Meanwhile, food poverty is affecting many people here in Kent, so kmfm is asking you for 'Tonnes of Tins' donations.

It has teamed up with UK Harvest to collect as many food tins from supermarkets and shops as possible by Friday, August 11.
