WHETHER it’s filling your garden with flowers, planting pods of peas or growing geraniums, anyone can get involved with the joys of Spring.

Bromley Extra has teamed with Bromley Council again this year for Bromley in Bloom, which launches next month.

As media sponsor for the competition, over the next few weeks we’ll be telling you all about it and how you can enter.

The Bromley Extra has increased its support of the popular gardening competition by sponsoring the Business/Public Premises category.

The winner of this category will receive a full-colour business profile in the paper worth more than £2,200.

Community Editor Julia Walsh said: “We’ve supported the competition for the last two years and wanted to increase our involvement this year.

“Many people spend hours tending their gardens at home, but we wanted to encourage more businesses in the borough to add colour to the shopping parades, villages and town centres.”

In the gardening world things are only just waking up after the winter, and with a closing date of June 15 for entries, there’s plenty of time to get your premises ready for the judging in July.

It doesn’t matter what line of business you are in, by entering the competition, you’ll be helping the borough maintain its reputation for being one of the most beautiful areas in London.

The campaign forms part of the regional London and national Britain in Bloom events run by the Royal Horticultural Society.

n Bromley Extra is also sponsoring the outstanding individual contribution to the competition and the wider environment.

The winner will be presented with a trophy and voucher for £100.
