Woman charged over knife attack

A woman has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed on Herne Bay seafront.

Lorraine Hallett, 40, was arrested after an incident inside a flat in Central Parade in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Police and paramedics were called at 12.50am after reports a man had suffered stab wounds.

The man, also 40, was taken to the QEQM Hospital in Margate, where his injuries were described as not life threatening.

Hallett, of Neville Road, Herne Bay, appeared before Margate magistrates on Friday afternoon and was remanded in custody until March 7.
