Woman's £6,500 benefit fraud

A woman who failed to tell the benefit agencies when her husband moved back in with her, has appeared in court and been sentenced for benefit offences.

Michelle Glover, 40, of Kings Road, Aylesham was paid just under £6,500 in housing and council tax benefit and income support to which she was not entitled between May 2006 and October 2006.

She admitted two offences of failing to promptly notify the DWP and Dover Council of a change in circumstances and was put on supervision for 12 months with 100 hours community service.

She must also attend five sessions with an education, training and employment officer.
