Yobs smash 12 school windows

PRIMARY school children could not use their classrooms today after vandals smashed 12 windows at their school.

Tunbury school in Walderslade, near Chatham, was targeted by the yobs. They targeted windows in reception classes and pupils had to use other parts of the building.

Carol Pring, a mother of three who lives in nearby Impton Lane, dropped her five-year-old son, Sean, off this morning and was appalled at what she saw.

She said: "It is just a mindless act of vandalism and it is just so unfair for the pupils. All they want to do is go to school."

Head teacher Heather Brown said: "I'm very disappointed at the vandalism but it is a rare occurrence. None of the children will go without their education as they have been taken to other classrooms within the school."
