Young man hurt in car crash

A MAN was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries following a car accident early this morning.

Police say the 23-year-old was driving an Audi that left the road on Thorn Hill, Minster, at the junction with Cottington Road, at about 1.10am and ended up on its roof in a field.

He was taken to the Queen Mother hospital in Margate.

Police spokesman Dougal Bell said: "The man’s injuries are now thought to be less serious and he is in a stable condition. He was the only occupant of the car."

Officers from the serious collision investigation unit are investigating the cause of the accident.

Any witnesses should contact PC Paul Squire or Acting Sergeant Lorraine Silvester on 01622 600 970.
