Addicks warning forces action

THE Premier League are to act on Charlton's warning that the competition risks going into decline unless clubs address the issues surrounding falling crowds, high ticket prices, saturation television coverage and the overwhelming dominance of a few rich clubs.

The Premier League have announced the setting up of a working party of club chairmen that will be headed by the competition's chief executive Richard Scudamore.

They will also look at the number of kick-offs changed to suit Sky Television coverage and how the League's income is shared out.
