Head coach Andy Williamson has left Whitstable Rugby Club by mutual consent.

During his six years at the club, Williamson helped win promotion from Kent 1 and his side reached the semi-final of the EDF National Junior Vase Trophy in 2007.

Last year the club finished mid-table in their first season in London 4 South East.

Chairman Adrian Hyner said: “Andy leaves Whitstable with our sincere thanks for his unstinting and loyal support of the club for six and a half years.

“Andy has reciprocated by expressing his best wishes toward the club’s success.

“The club plan to search for a replacement in the near future to help build on the solid coaching base already established by Andy.”
