Chorley cup tied for potential banana skin

Gillingham v Bromley

GILLINGHAM will have to do without loan signing Ben Chorley for Saturday's derby match against Bromley in the FA Cup first round.

Chorley is unable to feature in the game because his club MK Dons do not want him cup tied. However, manager Ronnie Jepson is likely to have an otherwise fully fit squad to choose from.

The Gills will be looking to avoid a repeat of last year's embarrassing exit at the hands of Lancashire village side Burscough against the Ryman League Premier Division leaders.

Jepson said: "The players know what the FA Cup is about, they know there are going to be banana skins and we have to make sure we aren’t one of them."
