Charlton v Leicester

BRYAN HUGHES, Charlton’s FA Cup talisman, is hoping for a recall as the club attempt to reach the quarter-finals for the sixth time in their history at Leicester’s expense on Saturday at The Valley.

The attacking midfielder scored in the previous two rounds but was dropped from the side that drew 1-1 at Newcastle on February 5 for what manager Alan Curbishley described as "tactical reasons".

The Addicks boss must also decide whether to retain Denmark international Dennis Rommedahl who returned to form on his recall with the equaliser in the 1-1 draw at Newcastle. He followed up with another on international duty for his country’s 2-1 defeat last week by Greece.

Charlton were stretched by League 2 leaders Yeovil, whom they overcame 3-2 in the fourth round, and midfielder Danny Murphy has warned against complacency.

He said: "There is so much at stake that nobody can afford to be complacent at this stage of the competition. But for Talal El Karkouri’s goalline clearance late in the game, we would have been taken back to Yeovil for a replay."
