DUNCAN JUPP has quit Gillingham after failing to break into Mark Stimson’s first team plans.

The 32-year-old defender spent the early part of the season battling back from injury but despite regaining his fitness Jupp failed to get into the new manager’s team.

“I want to play football regularly so I knew it was time to move on,” said Jupp.

Jupp was signed in May 2006 on a free transfer after helping previous club Southend to promotion. He made a total of 34 apperances for the Gills.
