Dynamos suffer two narrow cup defeats

DESPITE losing both their Premier Cup games at the weekend the Invicta Dynamos can take heart from the way they performed and the fact they only lost by a single goal against two higher-league sides.

On Saturday away at great rivals Romford Raiders it was 3-2 in the home side’s favour with Perry Richardson and Peter Beerling getting the Mos’ goals.

Raiders won the game with a three-goal blitz in the second period.

Richardson had given Invicta an early lead at 2.07 and Beerling put them ahead 2-1 at 30.39, both goals on the powerplay, but two goals in 16 seconds from Andrew Power and Lee Cowmeadow won the game for Romford.

At the Gillingham Ice Bowl on Sunday, former top side Guildford Flames were made to work hard for a narrow 2-1 victory.
