FA Cup and Kent League details

Dover emerged victorious 2-1 from their FA Cup first qualifying round Kent derby at Tonbridge on Saturday.

Carl Rook put the home side in front after 35 minutes courtesy of a twice taken penalty.

But the Angels’ lead didn’t last long when Jon Wallis levelled with a long range effort four minutes later.

Dover then continued to apply more pressure and the decisive goal came midway through the second half when Shaun Welford headed home a Wallis cross.

Jimmy Dryden netted the only goal of the game two minutes from full-time to give Folkestone a 1-0 Kent derby win over Ramsgate.

Dan Tanner's headed back pass fell short and Dryden nipped in to lob keeper Jack Delo.

Kent League Erith & Belvedere caused a cup upset beating Ryman League Sittingbourne 2-0. Matt Johnson and Nick Smith were both on target in the second half.

Goals from Jay Saunders and Elliot Bradbrook gave Maidstone a 2-1 victory over Tooting.

Stones went in front after 21 minutes when Saunders scored from a Bradbrook corner. Bradbrook was then on target himself three minutes later from a Lloyd Blackman cross.

Paul Vines pulled back a goal for the visitors with nine minutes left to set up a nervy finish.

An under-strength Dartford side was able to overcome Hastings 3-2.

A Brendon Cass header put Dartford in front, but Hastings stunned them with two goals in two minutes before half-time from Sam Adams and Ben Radley.

Steve Butterworth brought Dartford level three minutes after the restart, before a Danny Dafter header in the 55th minute sent them through to the next round.

Thamesmead overcame Great Wakering Rovers 2-1 with all the goals coming in the first half.

Harbingi Grant gave Mead the lead after 20 minutes, before Dan Jones cancelled out their advantage five minutes before the break. Mead restored their lead within two minutes through a Richard Dimmock header.

Ryman League Premier Division Margate were shocked 5-1 at Worthing who play a league below them.

Dominic Douglas, Scott Kirkwood and Paul Kennett and Roy Pook gave Worthing a four-goal advantage.

A close range effort from Jack Parkinson pulled one back four Gate, but Worthing added a fifth through Karl Akehurst.

Whitstable went down 2-1 at Merstham. Kevin Lock’s opener for the home side was cancelled out by Ian Pulman, before Lock’s second settled the tie

Cray slipped to a 3-1 defeat at Sutton. Gavin McCallum gave Sutton a third minute lead. Tony Atkins equalised with a header, but Sutton hit back with goals from Steve West and Craig Dundas.

Fred Fleming got the only goal of the game in the first half as Chatham went down 1-0 to Chipstead.
