The weather again disrupted Sunday’s programme, with only one game per division surviving plus half the scheduled cup fixtures.

In the League Cup 1st round there was an upset of sorts in the tie between Second Division FC Nore and Division 1 side Park Regis.

Nore started the game with only eight men, but later added a couple more to their number and eventually gained a very creditable 3-2 away win.

The Nore’s goals came from Craig Dyke, Duane Gibbons and Bobby Williams, with Regis replying through Jimmy Lindsell and Mark Oldman. Nore now meet Sittingbourne Lions in the next round.

In the day’s only Division 1 game that went ahead, Red Lion earned a creditable three points with a 3-1 success over White Colts Athletic.

It was very much a regal occasion with Sam King (2) and Richard King netting for the island side. Aaron Emson replied for the Colts.
