Leicester v Gillingham

FOUR key players could return to Gillingham's line-up for the visit to Leicester on Saturday.

Manager Stan Ternent is hopeful that Andy Hessenthaler will be okay for the trip and he is keeping his fingers crossed that Nyron Nosworthy and Barry Ashby could come back into the squad. And maybe Tommy Johnson too.

Ternent said: "Leicester have a big, strong squad having just come down from the Premiership. They also have experience, but I do not know what Leicester's objectives and ambitions are because my only concern is Gillingham."

The Foxes can boast seasoned professionals like Martin Keown, Nikos Dabizas and Dion Dublin who have 111 international caps between them and 640 odd appearances under their belts in the top flight.

They also have bright, young talent like goalkeeper Stuart Taylor who is on loan from Arsenal and Icelandic international midfielder Joey Gudjonsson who scored a special 35-yard goal against Blackpool in the FA Cup replay on Tuesday night.

*Former Gillingham player David Perpetuini, 25, has linked up with ex-assistant manager John Gorman for a trial at League 2 side Wycombe Wanderers.
