Fleet look to finish on a high

Liam Daish says his side has proved last season was no fluke

Forest Green v Ebbsfleet

Ebbsfleet are on course to match last season's points total ahead of their Blue Square Premier match against Forest Green Rovers at Nympsfield Road tonight (Tuesday).

Fleet need to take maximum points from their remaining two games to match the 74 points which they finished on last season.

Defender Sacha Opinel could return to the side after completing a three-match ban for his sending off against Halifax.

Ebbsfleet manager Liam Daish could rest other players ahead of their FA Trophy final against Torquay on May 10.

He said: "We'll got to Forest Green with a real belief that we can get a result there.

"I think we've proved that last year was no fluke. If we'd had a bit more luck on the injury front and been given a bit more help with the fixtures then we might have been battling on both fronts.

"But if someone had said we'd have a top 10 finish and a Wembley final appearance before the start of the season, would many people be turning that down?"
