Fleet take close look at midfielder

GRAVESEND & Northfleet have invited highly rated Stevenage midfielder Gary Holloway to train with the club with a view to signing.

Holloway, 25, is due to train with the club three times this week after finding himself surplus to requirements at Broadhall Way.

Manager Andy Ford had earlier indicated he would move back into the transfer market only if an exceptional player became available. Holloway fits the bill now that he has been made available by Stevenage manager Graham Westley.

Holloway is one of the club’s highest paid players and wages might prove a stumbling block for someone who is believed to be in demand from other Conference clubs.
