Ford enjoys Turin success

KENT'S Ben Ford secured the second Professional Squash Association title of his career when he beat fellow countryman Jonathan Harford in the final of the Turin Open.

The 32-year-old, from Welling, beat second seed Italian Luca Mastrostefano in the quarter-finals and fourth seed Austrian Aqeel in the semis before facing favourite Harford in the showpiece final.

Harford, ranked 40 places above Ford in the world rankings, took the opening two games but the Welling squash ace fought back to win 3-2.
