Kent's director of cricket Graham Ford's return to the club has been delayed due by visa arrangements.

Ford has experienced a hold up in securing the visa due to new UK Border Agency requirements for this year.

Kent chief executive Paul Millman said: "It is extremely frustrating for Graham not to be back for the start of our pre-season.

"We are doing all we can to expedite matters and will get him here as soon as possible.

"He is in regular touch with Simon Willis and Phil Relf on all pre-season matters and is providing valuable advice on a daily basis."
