BROMLEY striker Garath McCleary has joined Coca Cola League 1 promotion-chasers Nottingham Forest for an undisclosed fee.

There is a sell-on clause included in the deal and a pre-season friendly will be played at Hayes Lane.

McCleary made 42 appearances for the Lillywhites, scoring 11 goals, after joining from Slough Town last year.

The 20-year-old has also played for Oxford City as well as representing the England Colleges under-19s.

His new side, managed by former Scottish international Colin Calderwood, are currently third in League 1, a point off an automatic promotion place.
